It's possible it could be either of those things but I'd still tend to look for simpler solutions first. Are the misfires staying consistently on those 3 cylinders?right you think it could be gaskets like intake gasket and or the ecm ? if I cant figure it out by November I might just take it to a shop but I would like to find out why this is happening it's so bizarre
it sound like its a consistent misfire and i checked the wires but not the main connector also there is alot of debris around the injectors oh and i looked at the pcv valve and it seems loose like the grommet is worn or something but no oil around it but i will check the things you said again thank youIt's possible it could be either of those things but I'd still tend to look for simpler solutions first. Have you checked all the wiring going to the injectors including the big bulk connector on the driver's side of the intake?
i was thinking that, i mean it happened so suddenly but would timing only affect 3 cylinders? also i am not quite sure its a consistent misfire it sounds like it so it could very well be timingCould it possibly bethe timing is off?
Do you still have your old coil pack? If it were me I'd swap it back in and see if the misfires stay in the same place.it sound like its a consistent misfire and i checked the wires but not the main connector also there is alot of debris around the injectors oh and i looked at the pcv valve and it seems loose like the grommet is worn or something but no oil around it but i will check the things you said again thank you
hmm i do have my old coil pack i could try that but actually it is consistent because when i hard start it i can hear a consistent GallupDo you still have your old coil pack? If it were me I'd swap it back in and see if the misfires stay in the same place.
OK but if it misfires on the exact same 3 cylinders that's a good data point.hmm i do have my old coil pack i could try that but actually it is consistent because when i hard start it i can hear a consistent Gallup
Right I believe it’s just those 3 and like I said I did a compression test on number 1 and it was like 175 psi so I don’t think it’s compressionOK but if it misfires on the exact same 3 cylinders that's a good data point.
I don’t believe it’s losing coolant so I am thinking not a head gasket also what will spraying it in the dark do is that something to do with spark?is it losing coolant ?
spray it down in the dark
ok i will try that what would that mean if it did die or if there is sparks?yes ....
spray it and check for arcing or if it dies
