Does anyone know where I can get a 3.0 stroker kit for a 1999 Ford ranger?

Tom Morana, but its not worth it. $3500 to gain a claimed 30 hp/tq. Claimed gains, but unlikely to be seen in real world.

Thats probably the only source you'll find. It just isn't worth the effort and expense for anyone else to persue.

Be more cost effective to swap in a 302

Doing things wrong, until I get it right.
A 2.3 and a little turbo would be cost effective, and make more power 🙂
It would be even more cost efffective to just add a small turbo to the vulcan, wouldn't it?

That's kind of what I was thinking. Throw a turbo on it and run it till it busts. Might take custom headers, but likely to be cheaper and make more power than stroking the 3.0L or a swap.

Or you could turbo/supercharge the 302 after you change the same exact parts you changed to put in the weedwacker engine and make even more power :)

Should i drag a 4000lb trailer behind my 2.9 to make it roughly fair?

Or would the lima choke and puke with jealousy the 2.9 can move a 4000lb trailer?

You could strip all the weight you could off that thing and I'd be halfway down the return road while your still somewhere half track 💪

Things gonna be a trx killer I tell ya.
