Thanks! I'm pretty sure its the only TTB SHO swapped ranger in existence right now haha. Exhaust is easy, switch the manifolds left to right. They fit perfect that way lol. The rag joint in the steering shaft has to go, takes up too much room. I just made a steering shaft from a universal borgeson shaft and the correct spline u-joints from Summit

Do you have any other pics of the swap or more details? I’d like to see as much as possible before I dive further in

Yea I have a fair amount of pics, but I'm not sure how much they will help being that you're working with a 99. But I can answer pretty much any question related to the swap, feel free to ask!

Wow, looks like there's at least a few of us trying to make this insanity happen.
I have a 99 2WD truck that I'm currently swapping a '95 3.2L SHO into. The factory SHO manifolds do not fit (reversed or otherwise) with the double wishbone front suspension due to the upper a-arm mounting bracket locations above the frame rail. So, I'm making my own headers/exhaust.
I bought a rust bucket truck as a swap candidate, something I wouldnt mind hacking up. I'm toying with the idea of picking up a 4WD truck instead as a more permanent swap chassis, though still running it as a 2WD truck, so I'm curious how the 4WD IFS and subframe geometry works out.
For controls, there's a guy in Edmonton (Halee Fabrication) that has recently come out with an aftermarket Megasquirt-based controller specifically designed to control a SHO engine.

real easy, just acquire a 2000-ish 2WD Sport Track set of steering knuckles and bolt them on.
that gives you 12" front rotors.
or get the Ranger Edge knuckles and stay with the 11.25" rotors.

if you have a coil spring Ranger the options are stock or completely custom.
