3.0 Exhaust info

Does anyone know if an earlier (say 1998-99) Y Pipe will fit a 2002 3.0? I am looking to do an experiment for "science". Also, does anyone have a used set of headers that they would be willing to sell? I dont have the budget for a $400+ set from JBA. Thanks all!!

I have a set of JBA equal length headers on my '04 3.0L. Not much space under the hood for them. You will want to install shields in some spots, such as the AC airbox.

To add to @96lowranger question, do any of you know where I can find a California legal Y-pipe for a 2004 3.0L Ranger? I see a lot of Y-pipes out there, but they are not CARB legal.

As far as I know, all Y Pipes from 98+ 3.0s are the same
