I have a 2000 3.0l v6 ranger with an automatic transmission. The transmission has gone out in this truck. I recently picked up a 99 3.0l v6 in a 5 speed. I am wondering what electrical issues that may come with swapping everything into the truck that had the automatic. It does appear to be pre-wired for a manual swap, but I am not certain that it will work. I have already gutted the truck and have everything from the manual ready to put into the original truck body. Has anyone done this before and knows what needs to be done?

If you have two complete trucks, there really shouldn't be any issues unless one is regular fuel and the other is flex fuel.

The 2000 PCM will have PATS. You probably don't want to use that PCM though. It's easier to just use the PCM from the 99 if it will work with your fuel type/injector size.
