My 1994 3.0 4x4 manual truck is wicked!

when I change gears between 1000-1500 ( if i go higher it makes even more noise) it starts to rattle as a tractor!

Other thing is that the idle sometimes while shifting climbs to 5000rpms... and I need to shut the engine and restart it in the middle of the road...

also there is another problem sometimes as well my power steering cover flies of as it spills the oil all over the engine.

I recently cut of the cold air intake tube (black) because it was not working and i sealed with a screw one vacuum tube that went in to it.

Thanks

when you shift up at such a low rpm, its gonna knock like that, wait till a higher rpm to shift and give it a little more gas!

on the 5000rpm thing, check make sure your throttle linkage isnt hanging up anywhere before you go any further.

i dont understand what you did on the rest of the questions.

I don't understand turning it with the engine off, but it happens while I am driving the driving wheel becomes heavier due to the leak...

thanks

It sounds to me like your MAF sensor may be dirty. Please explain in more detail the modifications you just made to the intake.

Though the banging or rattle is present very softly while parked. My power steering is making a lot of noises what can that be?

happy holidays for some and happy x-mas for others.
