Those both seem like a good price at least for what they go for here. Plus people are saying you need a 6 ft bed. Maybe true for some but I do fine with a 5 ft. If I was to sleep in the back i would have to unload everything and reload every morning just to go to bed. And on long trips coolers extra water fire wood all get heavy to load and unload every night for sleeping. So that's why I didn't find the 6 ft bed a must. Takes a few mins to unload and pop up a ground tent and even less work for a RTT like you ran on the LoanRanger. I love the towing capability of the neww platform as well. I use mine like a truck all the time and every time it amazes me what the little eco boost can do.

Drove an hour to a Ford dealer in Rockwall Texas to look at this...

Surely can't be the same Ranger right? Has the same VIN and stock number. Salesman said they took the grill guard off because they didn't think it would sell with it on. Then they added black plastic covers over the original wheels. Who the hell does all that to an FX4 Off-Road Package?! Plastic wheel covers. Really? FX4 buyer won't want a grill guard?

The previous owner changed out the exhaust. It's loud and ended in front of the rear axle. Doesn't exit out from the rear or side of the body. Driving it a short distance you can smell the exhaust working itself in to the cab.

Salesman said they can't sell it because of the exhaust. I'm the first customer that still wanted to drive it after hearing the exhaust.

I wouldnt think the exhaust sound would change much since its going through a turbo & then a cat. Big fail on the dealership. Hopefully the grille guard is still there and could be put back on, cant tell if its winch compatible though. Plastic hubcaps? wth?

10:1 somebody that worked at the dealer wanted it.

No idea they even made plastic wheel covers, may help with trail damage with their goofy offset...

Grille guard won't be winch compatible unless however the winch mounts has nothing to do with factory grille guard or bumper.

The exhaust was louder and had a drone.

You could probably find someone willing to trade the factory exhaust for the aftermarket one FB. Lots of people on there doing it. As far as the wheels. I'm looking for a set of the Bronco Black Diamond steelies local right now. Found some about 3 hours away for around 400 bucks with some 26570r17 General Grqbbers on them. Hopefully some will pop up closer to Nashvile since I'm seeing more and more Broncos around here. Most the Rangers are selling for that price for 2wd around here right now. As far as the grill gaurd. I've only found 2 that will handle a winch. And that's not one of them. Most I've looked at are just cosmetic. Right now I'm pretty set on saving for the Coastal Offroad bumpers and sliders. They are weld yourself but it has a winch mount and high clearance without loosing the tow capacity on the rear. I've also been kicking around making my own tube bumpers since my shop has all the capability but that sounds like a lot of work haha

The grill guard I got for the escape is just for show, looks good but fastened to the core support. I got it for potential deer encounters. I think it could actually cause more damage if a deer was hit with it.

That’s my experience with the bull bar I had on one of my CRVs.

Unless it’s built into an off road bumper, I don’t they will do much.

My 2¢:

TRS 1 was RC, TRS 2 was SC, so TRS 3 being CC isn't a big deal. IMHO needs a paint job (wrap) which links to the older trucks.

Can you talk Rough Country out of one of their 6" lifts at cost (or free), in return for advertising.

I have to say I also like the style of the Coastal Offroad bumpers.

How about you put it to the members to do a Gen III, a Gen IV and a Gen V...

One of the coilover suspension conversions would be great if you're doing an SLA truck.
