i have a ? about my 3.0 with dual exhaust, i want to get it but i hate the v6 noise, what exhaust can i buy the gives the truck the benefits of exhaust but not the loud noise, a quiet hum is what i am loking for

the only "benefit" to aftermarket exhaust is the noise. you wont achieve any power or mileage gains by changing it as your factory exhaust system is more than sufficient for a stock or even lightly modded engines needs.

if you dont like the sound, leave it be.

i dunno if i agree with that 100% plenty of aftermakret companys show much better flow with there mufflers over stock. i also noticed a bump in MPG when switching to my dynomax muffler and a tad bit better responce albeit small.

then add a y-pipe after the stock muffler and run 2 pipes out the back...

of coarse aftermarket companies claim their products are better over stock...they are trying to sell you a product. if improving mileage and power was as simple as using a different muffler, ford would do it from the factory...remember these numbers appeal to people and they are selling a product too.

besides, these engines have much larger constrictions than the exhuast.
