No, I didnt explain it well. It takes more energy to drive than is produced. There isnt a perpetual energy machine that works, and that is what you're describing. If you utilize wasted energy then that works. Such as in brake regeneration, turbo chargers. What you're describing would be like having the rear brakes always on a little bit.

"Necessity is the mother of invention"

I think all of human history tells us that people can do very good things AND very bad things :)
But that's the process, necessity
A lot of advancements came from wars, necessity, thru out human history

Commerce pushes advancement, greed can be a good thing in moderation, but also starts wars, lol

I wouldn't sell us short on the 2035 thing, "impossible" goals are good drivers of necessity

New combinations of materials are showing promise for fast charging batteries

Hydrogen is still an option, for ICE or fuel cell/electric

And a little farther down the road
A graviton is a theoretical "particle" of Gravity
We know there is Gravity, lol, each time we trip or drop something on our foot :)
We just don't know how it works, at this time
Limitless power if you can harness Gravity

Fussion, what the Sun does, combines Hydrogen to make Helium, think of all the free balloons and the funny voices we could do, and of course lots and lots of power, and no radioactive waste like our current Fission power

In California by 2035... all new vehicle sales will be zero emissions vehicle. They say several other states plan to follow their lead.
> In California by 2035...

In our Actor Based Reality it is just a distraction to keep you unfocused on reality and the things you should be concerned with right now.

What is more important, CaliForniCation owing more debt then many nations, even surpassing Puerto Rico, or them banning something "13" years from now when WW II lasted six years?

How about the USA owing $30,000,000,000,000+ in callable debt (Deut 28:12) , much of it financed by printing money and borrowing from the people that built our railroads (Deut 28:43) aka China?

The USA pays $30,000,000,000+ per month (enough to buy a complete Nuke air craft carrier group including the planes - we have 10 carriers - not groups) just on the interest of our debt, by printing more money.

How did Newt and Clinton "balance" the budget, with such things as "foregone" revenue, buy taking out a 41 year IOU with the postal service and almost every year since the USPS PMG (starting with Runyon from the TVA) has to go begging to Congress to get paid it's yearly $28-30 million due.

Social InSecurity is owed $2,500,000,000,000+ in IOU's from Congress.

But, it pales in comparison to setting the whole world up to take the mark of the beast, which it does not matter if you believe in Satan and Jesus, the people that run our Actor Based Reality believe in both. The whole CA zero emissions thing and newsome is a distraction. They are making wild wishes about a future they know will not happen, it is called ENTERTAINMENT.

Its going to start a new trend in FL. No more smoking bath salts, now its going to be sucking on tailpipes. Thanks @RonD

They want to drive people out of the ICE market. The year mandate is only part of it. They will make sure gas and diesel is so expensive that people will not be able to fuel them anymore and will be financially forced into an EV.

Meanwhile, in countries like India and China, they'll still be using carbon based fuels. And yet, we'll still get blamed for the climate and pollution problems.

Yup. And electric cars are going to be priced so high, people who don't make a lot will be forced to public transportation in order to get to amd from their crappy low oaying jobs that keep them on government assistance

I think more people need to read history and about how changes in transportation occur
No one was forced to give up walking in favour of riding a horse and no one had to give up their horse's in favour of ICE, or Trains, it just made sense to some and then to enough to become dominate means of transportation

Never an overnight transition

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

But this time, it appears that our government, here in the US wants to force the change. That’s different from people just choosing to gravitate to a new technology.

And up to this point, it was mostly individual choice and free will that decided the transportation market. That hasn't always been the case. Replacing the trolley system a lot of towns had with buses is an exception (what's good for GM is good for the country). GM sold the towns a bill of goods that never met the promises that were made. This mandate that certain parties are pushing is nowhere near individual choice and free will but government picking the winners.

If an EV fits what you want to do, then have at it. It's supposed to be a free country. For some people, an EV is a perfect fit. Others, it can be made to work. Others, it just plain won't work. At least not at this stage of the game.

It's just like the people pushing "green" energy. It really isn't that green and can't replace the current power system reliably just yet, if ever. And yet the push is full steam ahead and damn the torpedoes.

New York City wanted horses GONE GONE GONE, as did most big cities, once "cars" were available

In New York in 1900, the population of 100,000 horses produced 2.5 million pounds of horse manure per day, and 60,000 gallons of urine
And supported an even larger population of birds feeding off the undigested grain in the horse poop, lol, so bird poop every where
Cities didn't ban horses, they just paved the streets with asphalt, making it harder on horses to get around

And people saw the benefit of the clean fresh air ICE vehicles provided, and lower risk of accidental death and injury from startled horses or run away wagons
Little did we know, lol

And I am SURE there was lots of push back from horse lovers during this transition

If something is a good idea then it will get traction, if its not a good idea it won't, Governments can't change that, especially Elected Governments

People on the internet keep bringing up California's debt, even when California doesn't have debt, because there is a political mindset in this country that takes issue with anyone or anything that doesn't do thinks the way they want. Furthermore, most of these people don't have the slightest bit of understanding how statistics work. California has the largest population and the largest economy in the country, and is among the largest in the world. Using raw numbers for statistics with anything large is going to result in a large number and means nothing when it comes to comparing numbers to something else. To get a meaningful statistic you have to use a variable that is common to all the entities you are comparing. If you were to take a small car company that only produces 100,000 cars a year and attempt to compare their recalls against the number of recalls Ford or Toyota has you could make a misleading claim that Ford and Toyota are trash because they have many more recalls than a smaller car company. That statistic doesn't have any meaning because it doesn't tell you the recall rate. In the case of state debt you have to use something every state has to come up with a rate. Sometimes this is done by using a state's population. The problem with using a per capita ratio is this doesn't give you any information about the ability of a state to pay down the debt. So, GDP is used. When using GDP to normalize the statistic there are states that are in much worse shape than California. And if you were take away the Federal funding quite a few states are dependent upon, those states would have astronomical debt to GDP ratios because those states simply do not have the economic capability to finance themselves.

Tech has to, and will, get better. Saw a video of the new EV F150 pulling a trailer. 75 miles and it barely made it to the next charging station.

Farming with horses was still fairly common thru WWII.

The govt had little to know control on forcing people to switch if they didn't want to. Farmers essentially grew their own fuel and already had means to deal with manure... aka spread it on their fields as fertilizer instead of refining it from petroleum like they do now.

On our way to the TRS roundup we toured a large farm north of Attica, they turn have a facility that turns the manure from their dairy operation into CNG.

Too bad the 'science' behind these decisions is 'iffy' at best.

deviating to the humorous side of the issue......

can you imagine the possibilities from a computer glitch in a gravity system?
getting flung into orbit without a space suit,
or getting face planted onto the pavement so bad that it would make the "stop the oil" protesters green with jealousy
