2019 SuperCab. I've owned it since Sept 2019, that's about 1640 days.
The temp's dropped near zero the other day.
The transmission slipped for the 1st few gears.

Gonna trade it on a Toyota

The "funny" thing is that Chevy is using the same transmission and from what I understand, is having very little to no problems with it. So, it isn't the transmission, it's how Ford programed it to operate.

Pulled out of a parking lot this morning in the freezing cold and the transmission in my 2021 Ford Ranger slipped for a brief moment and then engaged. Didn't do it again during the 1.5 hour drive home.

Just decided to do a search and quickly realized that this is an issue with the Ford 10-speed transmission. Saw links to other discussion online about this happening in the new Rangers.

Also saw a page posted by:

That states:

"Ford’s 10-speed transmissions are the subject of a new class action lawsuit that alleges defects such as gear slipping, harsh shifting and acceleration problems. Though 2019—2022 Ford Ranger pickups are not included in the lawsuit, consumer complaints reveal that the pickup trucks experience similar issues. "

If anyone with a 2019 or newer Ford Ranger experiences transmission slippage, please post here.
My Ranger started slipping when I put in gear and in the lower gears This week. Just rolled over 100,000 miles. I think Ford should issue a recall for this issue

they won't on a truck with 100k miles. even nissan with its 5 year/100k warranty won't do anything once you pass that 100k number

It depends on how bad the issue is, among other factors. Nissan expanded their warranty on their CVT transmissions to 10 years because they are so prone to failure. I don't think the mileage changed, just the years.

10 years, yes. I believe you are correct on the miles.

From what I have read about CVT transmissions in automobiles in general, all of them are a nope. The concept is great on paper but reliability hasn't hit the mark yet.
