Have you adjusted the bands on your planetary transmission this week? Just take the cover off the hogs head.
But to be clear, I change oil based on miles driven, not what the oil life monitor specifies. I'm planning to change the oil at 4,000 miles for the first change, then monitor the oil condition thereafter to see how well the Mobil 1 annual protection holds up.
The truck currently has just over 3.400 miles, and the oil still looks translucent on the dip stick, not coal black like I've been told other turbo motor oil ends up looking.
I was hoping to go 8,000 miles between changes, like I did on my '02 Tacoma. Based on what I'm seeing, that's not going to happen.
