Got a black with white stripe wire and a white with a orange stripe wire on a 12V power outlet in the rear. Does anyone know which is power and which is ground?

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Whichever one goes to the center pin of the outlet should be 12volts. The wire attached to the outer shell is ground.
