The new engines seem pretty sweet from what I've read. 412 hp in the GT. Anyone had a chance to drive one yet? Has anyone seen any show up at dealerships yet? I looked at the local dealership website and they said they had several in inventory but when I actually went to the dealer to look at one, there weren't any to be had  I think they never had any, just showing what they had on order...dirty tricks.

The local dealership was marking 2010 GTs at about $7000 off MSRP when I stopped by the lot today.

Some of the guys who ordered early are just now picking up their GT's. Can't wait to visit one up close. They're rated at 412 HP but have tested out at 385-395 RWHP(Motor Trend and another mag). Forget the 1/4 mile times but it's right up there, not far behind the GT-500. Swap out the 3.31's for some 3.73's, sticky tires and bam!

Smashed in the left rear so bad that the axle housing was ripped out on that side. And of course my company wanted just about everything off of it cause it was so new. Dash, convertible top, all front suspension, front KFrame, complete front clip, etc. I might be the first one in the world to have cut a 2010 Mustang in half though. Still hate them.

No idea, we just get them from insurance companys. My theory is it was either just bought, or being test driven, and something big tried to avoid hitting it dead on, and swerved left and rearended it in the driver side rear. 122 miles on it and still had it's first tank of gas in her. The motor was sold in it, so it was a priority to get it done. I want to know why someone needed a new stang motor. Funny thing is the dash was worth $750, the 4.0 sold for $1300, and the convertible top is $2000

I would take it. I wouldn't lust for it though. Lust? I cured that. They are the sexiest Mustang in decades though.

My brother ordered his in February and they just set the build date yesterday, May 17th. It will take a little longer than average because it has to do down a second line to get scoops, spoiler and decklid. 3.73's are a factory option and he got them. Dunno what they will be like, but when you get a manual with the Brembo package you get summer only Perelli (spelling??) tires.

He should get it early to mid June, by the time they ship it down to Kansas City and truck it back up here.

The 2010/11 is the best looking Mustang since the 60's IMO, nothing between comes remotely close. They had one at a car show up in Omaha, and I couldn't tell a difference on the outside aside from the "5.0" badge replacing the "GT" badge vs the 2010 sitting beside it.

Personally I think they released the stats on the '11's too soon and are finding it hard to find homes for the 2010's because people are waiting for 100 more hp.

Here is a really cool vid about the new 5.0, my brother's will look like the car in the movie except it will have a hoodscoop, side scoops, rear quarter louvers and a spoiler. Same color (race red) and and dark grey rims.

GT's were on hold until the April 26th. I didn't know they had been released until I found this trying to refind the brochure.

Here is the brochure:

If you can't tell, I am about as excited about it as he is. If we didn't get snow I might say heck to hauling my tractors around and trade in the F-150. Black with the dark grey Brembo package wheels looks freakingly freaking sweet. I have not interest at the moment of owning and maintaining three vehicles. I can barely find enough holes to poke everybody in now when we a bad thunderstorm comes thru...
