So, changed my upper control arms yesterday, and it didn't look much like the parts diagram at all... https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/suspension/chassis-parts/arm-assy-front-suspension-7816245-1

My bolts looked like normal bolts, there was no cam washer or cam bolt, and the one metal plate that comes out could only go back in the way it came... I am very confused as to what/why i was supposed to mark. It seems it could have only gone back together the way it came apart.

Anyone familiar with this?

EDIT: After some searching I found that if i wanted to adjust the camber I would need to buy a kit as my truck did not come from the factory with adjustable control arm... So, on that point, do i need to worry about alignment it if i just did a like for like control arm replacement?

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
It would be good to have the alignment checked. Parts tolerances could give you some variation, especially with different manufacturers.

Yeah... i ordered some camber bolts, so perhaps i will tweak my Tbars and go in for an alignment.
