You shouldn't have to...

should be a 1/2 x20 stud
I want to thank you Uncle Gump and everyone who committed on my post. I changed the wheel bearings and hub assemblies yesterday and I am absolutely stunned at the results. I would have never imagined that it was the wheel bearings. Thank everyone of you guys for your help and support, and thank you Uncle Gump for answering my questions with in minutes of me posting them.

There are many others that would have been happy to help... it's just kinda what we do.

What did you figure out with your lug nuts?

I’m probably going to kicked out of the forum, but I bought TRQ, which had good reviews but when I received them I saw where they were made in China😡. I don’t and won’t buy anything from China. I just didn’t research enough and let this get by me.😩

Well I doubt you will get a lot of mileage out of them... but you never know.

At least you know what they sound like going bad...

Exactly, and I now have experience with changing them out.

Changed my 4x4 hubs 3 weeks ago. Took about an hour. I used grease on the splines, Loctite on the axle nut and tourqued them. I had what sounded like an old school speedometer cable noise that I couldnt find, it did this for 30k miles or so. Then the left front bearing stsrted to interminnantly make a grinding noise. I checked and had no play in the bearing and could discern no noises with the truck in the air. I ordered what I thought would be USA made hubs but turned out to be China made.
When I got them off the left front felt a bit grindy. Replaced them and all noise was gone. Will see how long they last.
I was a Mercedes line mechanic about 20 years ago. Did that for 10 years then got wise and went back to school. I kept all my tools so have a bit of an edge there.
I just today lifted the truck with replacement torsion keys and rear shackles. Gotta get shocks and tires now. I was going to waith to lift until I needed tires but I ran over a stone in the woods that somehow went through the side wall.
