2004 ranger not charging

2004 3.0 not charging, new alternator that has been tested. the dash cluster stopped working then the battery eventually went dead while driving. installed the new alternator and charged the battery, truck will start but no output from alternator.

Tested by who?

Do you have a multimeter that’s testing no output from alternator while engine is running?

If so the alternator is defective, or, much less likely, a wiring problem.
