So I am currently driving a 1995 2wd Ranger, and I have a 2004 FX4 donor. Is it worth the time to swap the front brakes from the FX4 onto the 95? The rotors are about 40mm bigger. Also is it just a question of swapping the brackets, or am I gonna need some custom fabricated mount? I have been searching the forums and the internet, but haven’t found anything. Apologize if I missed it somewhere

The brackets might swap OK, get out the measuring tape and check the bolt spacing.

But you would need the bigger rotors from a later 2wd, the rotors from your 04 4x4 are drastically different in how they mount and won't work.
