My credo
Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
I got "dangerously" close to a moose in my parents yard when I was a tyke. Walked right up to it, spitting distance.. it kinda just looked at me and mosey'd off through the woods. Scared the hell out of my mother lol.

They do taste good in stew! And in gravy on taters mmmm

Well now ladies and gentlemen, I think I’ll have more time to work on things since work just closed down. So I got the new engine in and bolted up. Next step is clean the frame and re-attach the heat shield/sound barrier to the floor and start with the transmission????

Got a pic of the ford tag on the block that I forgot to post earlier :dntknw:
On a positive note I did get the new LUK clutch installed and the transmission stabbed.
Would be moving a lot faster if it wasn’t for the coronavirus and the weather being so unpredictable.

It’s been difficult to find time to get this thing done, but I tied up all loose ends today and got her running and I drove it today! I missed driving my SOHC 5 speed... love this thing! Here are a couple pics.

Next step is to wire wheel the frame and roll on some chassis saver paint! Then I need to fix the driver side outer door handle, fix (replace) the front bumper, and a good detail

Well I got lucky and a guy called me (friend of a friend) and I got the truck for $200 clean title out the door. It was missing the shifter boots and bezels when I got it .... I have found the shifter boots since then but not the bezels unfortunately.

Next step for this thing is to try to find this parasitic drain on the battery .... let it sit for more than 4 days and the battery is completely dead.
Any ideas?

It’s definitely a decent little rig... just have a few little bugs to work out then I’ll be driving it :icon_hornsup:

Finally figured out my parasitic drain (if that’s what you would call it)
My red top Optima took a crap. Threw in a new battery and all is well. Alternator is doing it’s thing and she lives again!

Started driving the fx4 about 2 weeks ago
“semi-daily” and now the brake pedal doesn’t return all the way and sticks a little bit. I pull the pedal away with my toe and it rolls fine.
Would that be the booster? Or hardware? Or?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

So.... I thought I found the “parasitic” drain on my battery... I was wrong.
This thing has a catastrophic drain on the battery. The battery goes from fully charged to completely DEAD over night.
Only thing I have done is removed the aftermarket radio (installed by previous owner)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
