Hi all. Been lurking on this great forum, and I've used it a lot. Now that I have something to contribute, I thought I should register and introduce myself. I've got a 4x4 with manual transmission do a lot of offroading and exploring.

Yeah MT is pretty rare, and much more fun to drive I think. But I did find myself wishin for an auto recently tho, when I was burning my clutch trying to get up some rocks. I decided that doing a TC doubler was cheaper than an auto conversion, or a regearing, so just got is built and installed. Hopefully it will save my clutch! (what's left of it anywayz)

There is no arguing an AT is very beneficial off roading, especially "crawling", the 3 pedal shuffle ain't no fun at all, you just get "tired all over", lol

Keep your mind like an umbrella, it only works if its open... Continually learning.
Welcome to the site. Disagree about the 3 pedal shuffle, that's what a hand brake is for...

I love a hand brake, would have been great in 4x4 Rangers, but not sure where you would put it

I poop in the furnace.
I know a one legged dude with a bronco who has the hand brake welded to the roof. The roof is all buckled in from him pulling on it...
