I have searched the forums for anything that sounds like my issue to no avail. 2000 XLT 3.0 At 4x4 4R44E with 120 K when I excelerate normally from a standing stop there is a clunk and it can also be felt on the downshift when stopping, but not as forceful. I feel the clunk right under my feet. If I excelerate slowly it does not happen. Checked trans mount no problem. I dont feel any other problems shifting. Replaced rear end with an 8.8. Mech wants to rebuild trans just looking for your opinions. Thank you in advance.
