2000 ranger Auto transmission installation

I am installing a auto transmission onto a new 4.0L engine in a 2000 ranger xlt 4x4. Looking for helpful tips to make it go smoothly. I am especially interested in torque converter information. I have gone over the process in the chiltons. Hoping for some enlightening keys to victory. I have the tranny strapped to a jack. I noticed the torque converter had leaked fluid in transit. Does it require filling prior to installation? Any helpful thoughts are most welcome.

Tranny is in… ditched the jack, used a belt strap winch similar to a what is on a boat trailer and a ratchet strap. Tomorrow transfer case and drive line…
