update: all this time it's been bad tires that were "new" on the truck. The violent shaking is gone at 35 & 65 mph. When my truck was in the shop and on the lift, tech showed me the drive shaft spinning, held a pencil or pen against it, smooth!
Still lots to do on this truck but I can at least drive it now!
if there's a moral to this story no matter how much you want to believe it's not the tires, the only way to find out is to actually change the tires!

To counter that I thought it was my tires so I got different ones... but it turned out my driveshaft wasn't made right. :oops:
