2 post lift recommendations

building a shop, want a lift. sidewall height will be 12' clear. my vehicles are: 03 ext cab shortbed 6.0 diesel f250, 99 ranger, 82 bronco on 40s. gf has small suvs. on to the lift will be a 2 post for sure. but that is where i get lost, symmetrical, asymmetrical, bar on top, drive over, 9 or 10k, enough? what brands? budget wise hopefully 3k?

Unfortunately I don’t know a ton about them other than Bend Pak is a good name and the asymmetrical usually gives you a little more room to open doors. I’ll definitely be following this thread because I’m looking to build myself a garage (hopefully this year but may be next) and put a lift in it. Tired of working in dirt and gravel on my junk.

I use my 25 year old foam sleeping mat from when I was in boy scouts...

How heavy is your '250?

Dad's gas 2wd '250 is about the max for my brother's main lift at work, it has a service body on it though.

I have an Eagle 11k asymmetrical two post lift with the top bar. I love that it has a bar on the motor side for single point unlock for the dogs. Only trouble I've had is lifting some vans all the way. I can still drop the trans and gas tank relatively comfortably still. The difference between asymmetrical and symmetrical is:
asymmetrical- allows cars to set off center (front or back slightly) of lift post to be able to open doors easier
symmetrical- doors are little harder to open and get out of because the vehicle sits directly in the center of the lift post.

The lift is 143 1/2 inches from the floor to the top of it.
