Hey I got a set of 2" lift coils for my Ranger off a friend. He bought them for his B2....

I have a 1992 STX with the 2.9L (FOR NOW)...

Got one of my coils out tonight and it's the same exact height as the lift coils. I can't compress the lift coils by hand but I can compress the stock ones a little. Is this how I'm going to get lift?

I got the Moog fully adjustable -4* to 4* alignment bushings and I plan on maxing them out with washers under the springs if need be.

So am I going to get any lift with these?

Thanks!

Not all STX's have the High Rider package. I don't think it was an option in '90.

You have to take into consideration that the spring rate might be more on the 2" lift coils than your stock coils. If it is, then they can be the same height because they will not sag.

Then you definitely do not have the High Rider Package.
Yeah I figured I didn't. I was under the impression that gen 1's were the only ones to have the high rider option.

Going out to the garage this time for real :D

It looks like u have the snow plow springs from jc whitney. They gave me about 1 3/4 inchs of lift but it rode like a f 250! I ended up goin back to stock springs with a bunch of washers under them to get a half decent ride back.

Well. I put them in along with a 3/8" space under the spring seats.

Trucks just about level now.

Rides a hell of alot better too!
