so my truck started running like hell the other day and after replacing the map sensor and yevking all the wire harnesses and connections i tracked down my issue to the pcm. When i turned on the key to on with the orig. pcm the fuel pump just kept running and i could hear fuel flowing through the regulator and back the return line. so i thought just for the hell of it id try throwing the pcm out of a junk 88 f150 i have with a 300 i6 in it on my ranger and guess what....fuel pump cycles for 3 secs. when key is turned on instead of staying running and the truck runs much better than it did, although cel stays on and seems a bit rich and lopey at idle. so i ordered a reman pcm from advance and the one they gave me made the truck run awful, actually ran better with the 300 pcm, so going back to advance today to get pcm number 2 hopefully this ones good!
