You can use a c-4 tranny. You wont have to change your rear diff. But you might want to change your front diff if you play hard in 4WD.

If you want to keep the fuel injection you will need all the 5.0 engine electroics too. You need to see if it is a 94 for sure or not. 94-95 with the stang is when the computer controlled transmission came out, the AODE. If you stay before the computer controlled stuff here are the trans options. Manual: T18/T19, NP435, (4 speeds) M5ODR2 or the ZF (5 speeds). For autos the C4, C6 or AOD are the choices. There is nothing wrong with an auto. Anymore any of those autos will need rebuild; they are going on at least 20 years old now. You will be replacing the front axle if you beat on it at all. Plan on replacing the 7.5 with an 8.8 as well; I've broke them with a 2.9L. The body lift will help you a little bit too.
