2.9 oil pan gaset

before I attempt it is it possible to replace the oil pan gaset on my 88
4wd 2.9 in the truck? I will replace the oil pump also. let me now thanks.

Yes its replaceable. However you may have to practically remove the engine in order to do so given the limited amount of room. I know with my 2.8L in my bronco 2 the engine had to be almost removed to get the oil pan off due to the front axle being in the way.

It is possible with a 3" body lift. I had my the heads and exhaust off the motor at the time. So you might need to jack the body up 5" if you leave the motor intact.
