What budget?
Chain actual horses to it.Best way to up hp on a budget?
Best ways to do a 3.5-5psi setup? Someone here had one with a blower, but can't find any photos.Yeah, horsepower isn't the easiest thing on these... easiest way like racsan said is just to change the gear ratio's and stay in the gears longer. These things don't come with tachometers very often but the rev limit is at 6000rpm, my '97 hits that at about 55mph in second gear with 4.10 gears and 29" tires... the horsepower of these things really goes up over 3000rpm or at least it feels like it.
Cheapest if you consider your labor free is to pull the cylinder head and do some port work to the intake side of the head, don't bother trying to gasket match since the ports and gaskets are normally drastically different shapes... but on the intake side especially there's room for improvement. Past that you're really down to adding a turbo or something, you can go to about 5psi safely without major changes but past that the cast pistons become a weak link.
