What's everyone doing for sticking/worn throttle cables on their 2.3? I can't find parts for this old junk anywhere. I like the truck overall, but the throttle cable seems to be hanging up making the pedal hard to push for the first 1/4 inch. So taking off from a stop is unbearable. It looks like I can't drive stick I launch so harshly. Lol.

Are you sure it's the cable and not the pedal?

been there done that, had the same problem, was really fun in low range first gear :), especially when it would stick at like 1500rpm at idle until I blipped it.

I had to find a cable in the junkyard... it's working fine now. I think the slightly different cable orientation from truck to truck helped the old junkyard cable work better in mine, but I should find another to keep as a spare or put new ends on my old one, the super fine cable that Ford used probably wore on the liner but might find something else that would work...
