ok first off im just doing this to learn about the engine a little

but any one built a 2.5 stroker out of a fuel injected motor
what goes into it i mean what else do you have to change besides the crank and what not

any crank sensor or anything

The 2.3 and the 2.5 Lima are one in the same minus stroke. The 2.3 was replaced by the 2.5, which was replaced by another new 2.3. (after 2001) So to stroke it you would just need I think rods and pistons, or its the crank for that motor that gives it the extra stroke. Although I dont see the point. Everything you need to know is in the tech section, under 4 bangers.

*- I have a lot of miles driving a 98' with the 2.5, and it was a great reliable truck, however, certainly no real powerhouse. To do your swap right, you would/should rebuild or at least purchase a 2.5, everything will bolt up. I bet you it would be cheaper to just buy a long block 2.5 than to do all the work to yours.

My credo
If you're not making mistakes, you're not learning.
Crank, rods, and pistons. Or just buy a 2.5L from the junkyard.

But yeah, the Ford 2.5L is a factory stroked 2.3L and are quite literally the same engine.

Same motor after 95 but crank and such would fit in any of the small journaled 2.3,s,I think, from 88.Before that you have to use bearing spacers to use in a big journeled crank/block
