I was also curious if I could use my stock fuel pump on a carb set up

What year is your Ranger? if it's the early efi version with external high pressure pump you can remove it, and run the low pressure in-tank pump. On the late model efi with the high pressure in-tank pump you will need a adjustable regulator with a return port.

My ranger is an 86 so its the early efi style

Do you have a how to, or know any websites that detail the swap?

Update on my carb situation: Ended up going with a Weber 38 DGES "outlaw" from redline. Runs awesome. Night and day difference from the Autolite 2100. I plan on selling the 2100 to anyone that may be interested. PM me. Maybe you will have better luck with it than me. It is newly rebuilt, I only ran it for about 1500 miles or so.

On the 86 the low pressure fuel pump in the tank, the high pressure pump is mounted to the frame. On the 88 I had I just removed the high pressure pump, and just spliced the line back together. If I remember right the low pressure pump puts out about 6 psi. Since you will be deleting the computer you will need to run a power wire to the pump, and ground the other pump wire.

Another alternative is you could remove the bed to access the top of the tank, remove the in-tank pump, replace it with a piece of hose, and run a external low pressure pump mounted to the frame with a fuel filter right before the fuel pump. This is what I did on my 86 since I had to replace the tank, and fuel sender unit since the crappy gas these days rusted them pretty good from when it was sitting, and didn't want to run a in-tank pump.

Do you know what kind of gas mileage you are getting with the Weber 38??

Don't know what it's getting exactly yet, but it is definitely going to empty slower than with the 2100. My next tank of gas will be my test tank. I have oversized tires so my odometer doesn't read exact either but I will figure it out and get a better idea.

For anyone trying the Holley 350 2bbl start out with Holley 68 main jets and a #35 power valve.

Got about 17 MPG this last tank, mainly normal driving, long running warm ups in the morning (it's been cold lately) and some stop and go in traffic driving, battling Xmas shoppers haha. Not bad considering it's lifted with 31" super swampers.

Not too bad for a 4x4, my brothers 76 F150 4x4 with a 302, and C6 trans gets 13 mpg with 31" BFG M/T's, at 5200 lbs!

Yeah that's not bad at all especially that old. My '91 Chevy 4x4 (TBI), 5 speed with 32's with 350 got around that at least, one time when I helped my friend move from Washington I got 17 mpg or better but was pretty much all highway miles. I got rid of it to start driving my ranger though haha.

It had BFG all terrains as well, so they weren't full on chunky mud tires which helped.
