The 1992 Ranger 2.3l Lima doesn't have a CAM sensor(CPS), it was added in Calif Rangers in 1994 and all Rangers in 1995 and up

Why do you think you need a Cam sensor?

I meant crank position sensor. That's the only thing I have left to change just don't want to pay 160 bucks for one if a 30 part will work..

Yes, can be a big price difference between Motorcraft(Ford OEM) vs 3rd party parts

The difference comes down to testing, Motorcraft parts are required to be tested and working when delivered to Ford

3rd party have a warranty so you test them and if defective they will replace it

Not a big deal if part is easy to change, so thats what it comes down to, your time to change out a part if it doesn't work or fails under warranty.

3rd party parts do work, and are always less money, so the $30 part will work, but you may have to try 2 or 3 over first year, and that is a "may" not a will
It all comes down to the Labor, with OEM you are pre-paying the labor it took to test the part, with 3rd party its your labor so you assign the value for that
