1st Time Stall out

OK I just purchased a 95 XLT, 4.0l, auto., reg cab with body lift kit. Just have 1 problem. When I start the truck it will idle for about 3 seconds and stall out. When I restart it , it will run like a CADILLAC ??? No Problem, No Engine lights. What can be causing this ? The only problem I can see is wearing out the starter, using it twice as much as needed. LOL

Try letting the fuel relay do a full cycle before starting the truck or cycle it a couple times first.. It may not be developing full pressure and is running out of fuel on the first try.

Yep! Turn the key to the run position and allow the fuel pump to prime the system.. Only then hit the starter.

Have u checked fuel filter? maybe its clogging up... jus my 2 cents.
