1st gen fenders/bumper/grill/lights on a 2nd gen truck?

Do the mount points of all front segments line up from 1st gen to 2nd gen? And would the body line up with the fenders, along the hood and the doors?

IIRC it's bolt on ONCE you change the welded in header panel. There are a few threads on the swap around here somewhere.

Id also like to know this also as a found a nice ranger cab from a 92 and want to swap it on my 83 and keep the 83-88 look.

The 89-92 front clip will fit on an 83-88 truck and vise versa. You need ALL of the front sheet metal including the inner radiator support. The headlight plugs are different and will need to be changed as well.

The one exception to this is the bumper. It is doable, you can put a first gen bumper on a second gen frame, but you will have to build adapter brackets to make it work. Second gen bumper on a first gen frame is slightly easier but will still require modifications to the frame and mounts.
