1st gen factory fender flares?

Can anyone tell me if these are factory or not? If they are does anyone know what type of plastic they are? I need to repair some cracks and paint

I would guess that they're ABS plastic. There may be some stamped or raised letters inside the flares. Those will identify what type of plastic it is. If there are any markings, Google search them for more info.

I would imagine the only ways to fix them (long term and durable) would be either plastic welding, possibly panel adhesives, or specialized epoxy meant for that type of plastic.

Yeah I looked for the normal markings but I think they are too old for that. Might try some ABS cement and fiber cloth....they are pretty thin...

Those look like bushwackers, they don't make them any more. Honestly there is not a good way to fix a crack on those. Are you sure it's not the paint that is cracked from flex? You could try jb weld the back side after scuffing it with 40grit and then maybe an auomotive paint store could help you out with a filler for the paint side, plastic filler will not cut it.

If those came off a 1st gen Ranger, they are Bushwacker Extenda fenders. They are ABS, use 2 part epoxy, you can reinforce it with aluminum or extra plastic on the underside.

gaz is correct. 3M makes a two part repair material especially for ABS . Had to have my Harley Road Glide fairing repaired, it's stronger that ever. Shop guy even built up a broken tab & rethreaded it.
