Didn't want to get into the dash and redo all that. The truck is cherry. Just wanted to drop in an under dash.
You don't have to get in to the dash and redo anything really. At the most you might have to run a couple small wires and that's it. If you installed an under-dash unit, you'd have to drill holes in the firewall and install a firewall bulkhead connector plate system for the refrigerant hoses.
You can get any year of Ranger underhood A/C plenum you want to install under the hood. No need to get one from only a 94 model. They're all the same from 83-94. Ranger and Bronco II both.. Same plenum, same evaporator, same accumulator, etc..
Using Ranger parts under the hood would also keep it looking much more factory than an underdash unit would.
