I am looking for a wiring diagram indicating wiring for the impact sensors located on the radiator support. My Haines / chilton books do not show these sensors for any year…
I have two plugs on front grill harness that are different, one “left” is triangular the other “right” square… impact sensors plugs are not similar… this is for a1999 ranger 4x4 supercab. Another brick in the wall….

I am getting mixed messages on the crash sensors. I have diagrams for a 2000 ranger, and it does not show any sensors, they are built into the restraints module and are not external.

I did a google search and it seems 1999 might be the same, no external crash sensors. I have 1999 diagrams, but they are on a old CD my computer will no longer read. But being internal to the module may be part of your problem.

Impact sensors are inside the cab on the transmission tunnel

Under the cup holder in an automatic

Or under the plastic cover in front of the shifter in a manual

The 1999 wiring harness that run across the front radiator support has two plugs that I assumed were impact sensors. Not sure now where they go now. Everything else is connected.

This 99 wiring harness has been full of oddities. Im mashing a 99 and a 2000 into one. Putting a 4.0l in a 3.0l truck. Had to change entire harness and dash. Onward to the www looking for diagrams. Long and winding road…
