1999 front end damage

I just acquired a 1999 XLT Supercab that met a tree and has some front end damage. I don't think the frame is bent but the drivers control arm is tweaked and the bed side got swiped. I am gonna have the frame guy look at it next week to see how bad the frame is. In the meantime, I have access to a straight 2001 reg cab for parts. Can anyone tell me if the fenders, bumper, hood, etc will fit the 1999 without a problem? I am pretty sure the bed is the same from what I have found but have seen conflicting info on fenders. I want to save it since its a 1-owner "grandpa truck that wasn't abused.

Also will need the sheetmetal fender apron on the drivers side and radiator support, is this available aftermarket?

It looks bad and might be but I have pulled a few parts off and the engine is OK, didn't impact the engine or alternator/AC. Thoughts?

Did the insurance company total the truck with the previous owner?

He only had liability so no insurance claim. I am sure they would have totaled it being 23 years old. Was my father-in-laws truck so trying to maybe save it.

Can anyone tell me if the 2001 front sheet metal (hood, fenders, bumper, etc) will fit on this 99 without any modification? And verify if the bed is a direct fit?

There were a few changes in the sheet metal from those two year models, but plenty of people have converted their front clips.

Bed will swap.

Nose is different, not sure what all is different. I think if you swap enough stuff it "interchanges" though.

The front end was changed after 2000, so 2001 is definitely different from 1999. Looks to me as if the hood might be the same, but the front fenders and front clips are different. That hood on the 1999 doesn't look too salvageable. You should figure on swapping all that, plus the bulkhead behind the front end that holds the headlamps, which will require welding. Can't tell for sure on the front bumpers, but they probably are year-specific too.

So the frame does have a slight "unstraight" characteristic to it now. Frame guy said $1200 to pull/straighten the frame and pull some on the A pillar to get the door back in alignment. Adding up the cost, it would be a break even point getting it back on the road. I am going to have to put it on the back burner for now.

So if I do end up fixing it, there will be more to follow. Thanks guys.
