Hello guys this is my first post and I want to start a thread on what options are available for this swap as I tried using the stock 93 mustang headers with absolutely no luck. The frame needs too much modification. Any info is greatly appreciated thank you!

JBA makes a set that should fit. They aren't cheap though at around 600 bucks.

@Dirtman I have been reading about the old mustang tri-y's and it looks like they may work with a little bit of bending around the bellhousing. Anyone familiar with this setup and have pictures?

Uh this is a 4.0 engine? There's no such thing as a try-y for a v-6...

Try y's will need to be modified to get around the 164 bellhousing. Headman something I think will work @svtcards said something about it a lil while ago

Also what cylinder head are you using?

im using whatever e7te heads that come on the 93 mustang gt. I just ordered the tri-y’s on eBay cuz they were 90$ and this is a budget build. I would still like input from everyone though as I may send these back.

Just test fit them first. Put your starter on and bolt the trans up. Is the motor in the truck yet?

I was gonna say if you are using GT40P heads headers choices suck for these trucks.

the motor is not yet in the truck as I wanted to fit it in and make the motor mount plates with everything on so I know where it’s going to sit

Do you know if the tri-y’s fit without cutting the frame?

I think they fit in without cutting the frame the problem you are going to run into is the Tri Ys wont fit around the M5OD-R2 trans (164 tooth bellhousing) from what Ive read with out modifying the potion of the pipe near the collector.

Before you try to put it in the truck. Bolt the engine and transmission together and put your starter on before you put on the headers to make sure I am not wrong.

Take some measurements.
