When the fan is on I continually get hot air from the vents. Turning the temperature adjustment knob to cool (counter clockwise) does not change the temperature. If I listen carefully when I turn the temperature adjustment knob I can sometimes hear a slight grinding sound....not fan related, more like a baffle moving due to vacuum. Difficult to describe. Anyway, I took off the glove box to take a quick look for anything obvious.

So my question to all you gurus -- is the air blending (hot/cold) baffle in the heating plenum (the big black plastic assembly behind the glovebox)? Is there a way to access this? The book indicates I need to remove the entire interment panel to get access. Maybe, pull the and inspect that way. Ideas?

I found my EVTM manual. I suspect the 'blend door actuator' (not cable controled) as this looks to control the temperature door in the plenum. Anybody, have experience with this?

it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
Often times a pen falls down the defroster and jams it up...

Only a few bolts to get the dash loose...and flop it out where you can get a good gawk at it.
