I know this has been discussed time and time again, but..... mine too has stopped working. Following the great links provided on this forum i have done them yet i am still not getting any odometer love. my worm gear was broken so i replaced it with a new one. i made sure i cleaned it very well. i thought maybe my new gear was to close to motor body and was keeping it from turning. so i pulled it away a smidge and still no luck. my next step was to see if the motor itself was even any good. what voltage would that motor be? i dont want to burn it up if i can help it.

Side topic, my ranger does not have a tac. i was wondering if i took the instrument cluster out of an explorer or another ranger that had a tac if it would work in mine? would the wiring be already in place in the wiring harness you think?

Thanks!

thanks but that didnt help me one bit. i finally got it to work. i kept pulling it apart and moving the worm gear further and further away from the motor until it finally started working. it took about 6 different attempts until i got it right.
