This has been my daily driver for over 15 years. Have always had the oil changed when needed but if something was broke and wasn't real important, it was never fixed properly. Note the Electric tape on the taillight. AC, stereo, are just some of the things that have not worked for years. The truck always started and got me to work. Had to replace a water pump, went through a few batteries and a few sets of tires.

The front is going to take a little work. Had some minor damage done a couple of years ago that needs fixing. Stop n go traffic on 35, my bumper went under a 70's chevy truck bumper and the lights took most of the hit. Hood still opened and closed and all the lights still works, so I didn't fix it.

Well, I started fixing the truck up this year. Didn't take any pictures really of what I was doing but so far I replaced; tailgate hinge bed inserts, door jam switch's, door light switch, rear view mirror, driver side outer door handle, odometer, radio, front speakers, rear speakers, new bulbs for everything inside and backside of truck, new 3rd taillight, left brake light and a right back up light. Found several parts at the junkyard for front end fix; header panel, header panel air flow, header panel bracket (2), hood latch assembly and the hood latch assembly bracket. All I need is a bright red hood. The motor still runs great but will swap for a 5.0 Explorer engine. Its a 2 year plan.

All the interior panels are out. Want to locate any sound vibrations I hear when on the road and reduce them with sound deadening material and tighten up any loose screws. Noticed the back window was leaking and had the window replaced with a full window and darkest legal tent I could get. Added in some front door window visors. The visors for the back windows wont work with the pop out window.

Cant seem to find the seats I want from a junkyard and realize it might take a while to locate the ones I want. So I went ahead a cut the driver side 60/40 seat and installed a full center console.

My credo
the grey-t escape
you could also of put another passenger side seat in on the drivers side, yes the seat release is in the middle now instead of the outside when you do that, but If you need a seat , the passenger side usually has alot less wear & tear. I mostly went that route because I had a parts truck and both were in bad shape on drivers side but very good shape on passenger side.

Thanks racsan. Will keep that in mind when looking for seats. I just folded the fabric under the cut seat and evened it out between the bolt holes. Then bolted the track over it, pulled the fabric tight and tightened the track bolts down. Its only temporary until I can find something. I'm looking for leather. Just went out last week looking in junkyards with no luck on seats. I will try again in a couple of weeks. Also been looking for the roof center console, double visors and a bright red hood.
