Not to be rude, as I've been where you are myself.. but yeah your kinda in over your head.. at least with wanting a fast ranger.

If you were driving something that had an LS motor in it that 2000 would be more than enough to make a wild amount of power reliably. Unfortunately, ranger motors aren't as robust.
Yea I was looking into ls motors but didn’t know which one was the right one for my truck

Coming in second just makes you the first loser!
You could put some headers on it and a cat-back exhaust then get a tuner from some place like 5-Star Tuning for well under 2k. It's not going to add power like a turbo but it makes a noticeable difference. Really wakes it up.

I thought about looking into tuners but I could not find a decent working one for this old of a car do u have any suggestions?
A ranger isn't the truck for you if you want it fast for under 2k. Get something with a v8, and you'll have a start. Then do the Full exhaust, cam(s), and get it tuned on a dyno.
