Hello I have a 1991 Ranger 4X2 with a 5 speed manual transmission. I’m planning to 5.0 swap it with a fully built motor. I was wondering if I can keep the stock transmission. Also would I have to change my rear-end with a explorer

My credo
Keep your mind like an umbrella, it only works if its open... Continually learning.
Welcome to the site. Are you planning on racing the truck? How much HP are you thinking the "fully built" engine will produce?

The trans is engine specific. It doesn't have a removable bell housing. You need to find a compatible trans for your engine.

Hey FT21, Welcome to TRS, and good luck with your truck. I can't help much with your question but I do hope you find the answer to be favorable :)
