1991 Ranger 4.0 Barometric Sensor?

Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster. I'm the proud owner of a 91 4.0 4x4 stick truck. Runs excellent, my curiosity has driven me to wonder what in the heck this connector goes to!

A little bit of research tells me that its the barometric pressure sensor, but I would have to say the truck runs just fine.

Any input/suggestions are greatly appreciated!
