My credo
If it can't be fixed by me, matches and gasoline will fix it....
I have a 1990 2wd Ranger Custom, and as I was at the exhaust shop the other day, the exhaust guy said that the style of exhaust on my Ranger was a B#@$* to work on because of the way the exhaust flange is made from the factory.... My question is, does anybody make a down pipe that is not oval shaped at the flange???? One that comes out to a round pipe???? I wanted to eliminate my cats which my exhaust guy has no issues with, but the front cat doesn't leave enough space between the flange and the cat to tack on a round exhaust pipe.... I have searched all over the net and haven't came up with any yet.... Any suggestions????

I’ve read we can’t speak of illegal activities and cat removal is in most places. But for off road use a 3” exhaust pipe squeezed in a vice to the oval shape fits nicely over the oval y pipe collector. Weld it on the collector and you got a 3” round pipe. Tried it on my 89 as an ........ experiment.

We are not going to discuss cat deletes here. Your exhaust guy is breaking federal law if he does this. End of discussion.
