1990 Ford Ranger Custom Standard Cab short bed (6ft) 2.3L 5-Speed Manual 2WD
Solid Body. No rot. All original body panels (except tailgate). Had the original bench seat but swapped it with buckets from my STX (which im shipping back to HI). all glass good.
Straight Frame. Good brakes and suspension. Tires have tread. Drivable if you can get running.
2.3 L Motor currently not running.
Replaced motor last summer and had to leave before I could get it up and running. Truck is at my friends place in Springfield, OR. I was out there for a few days last year and was able to swap the motors but ran out of time and couldn't finish the job. Motor is all together and it cranks strong with a new battery. I wasn't getting a spark and my time there ran out. My kid is moving out of Oregon and no need for the truck.
I suspect the issue lies in the crankshaft position sensor. I used the position sensor that came with the replacement motor but believe the original should have been used (still have original).
This is a solid little truck which is nice and straight. It just needs some TLC. Paint should buff out nice.
Doesn't need much. Get it started and drive it with little work.
Located in Springfield, Oregon. $1200 OBO Open to trade/partial trade for 2nd Gen Ranger parts. Clear oregon title.
I have a ton more pics if interested.
