Hey guys, quick question, am I missing two bolts on the bottom of my bell housing? I can't seem to find a definitive answer. Thanks!

What are you asking?

Do you need them, yes, but you can operate for awhile without them, they don't hold the engine block and transmission together

What are the sizes?
Should be the same as the bolts just above them on the sides, the shorter bolts, if memory serves

Just go to a Ford parts web site or a dealer and order them. No guessing if they are the right length, material, or strength. Yes, they need to be replaced.

New to me Ranger, so I don't know what size they are. If you look closely at the picture, the bottom right side of the metal shim between the transmission and engine is collecting and dripping oil. I was hoping the missing bolts was the culprit. Thanks for confirming I need them!

Ok, thank you! Internet searches were becoming exhausting. Like I just mentioned to the other reply, I am leaking oil, and if you look closely at the picture, the bottom right of the metal shim between transmission and engine is collecting and dripping oil. Hoping the bolts are the fix!

What color is the oil? I don’t thin would be a fix for and oil leak either way but the color will help clue in to whether the engine or the transmission is leaking. I don’t remember there being any kind of seal between the engine and the transmission but my experience is with manual transmissions.

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
Those bolts won’t stop an oil leak, but you should have them.

If you have oil leaking out of the bell housing, your 2 most likely culprits would be the engine rear main seal or trans input shaft seal.

+1 ^^^^

The missing bolts are for sure not the reason for an oil leak there, there should be NO OIL between engine and trans, that's where the clutch is, and clutches don't like oil, they tend to slip(and SMOKE) when oiled :)

For reference those bolts are 10mm by 50mm if memory serves. I know they're 10mm for sure...

Those aren't the most important bolts but they should be there... If you have an oil leak there I would suspect the oil pan gasket to be seeping, first thing I would do is take an 8mm or 5/16" socket and go over all of the oil pan bolts as they probably loosened up a little over the years.
