Seems to have been gone through by a mechanic. Memphis, looks like, although the person writing the post doesn't seem to like that detail 👀

Friggin hate Facebook marketplace.

I refuse to have a Facebook, so I get to miss out on most of the cheap stuff. Yay.

Ah. It's a different story when you introduce all manner of potential points of failure.

Can't believe it hasn't sold yet! From the horse's mouth and camera:

"ILL START WITH THIS, IF YOU ASK IF "ITS STILL AVAIL" OR IF ITS IN MEMPHIS< YOUR A SCAMMER< GO AWAY> If your legit, ask a question about the truck, listing is current and Ill ADD "SOLD" when its not avail. Or find someone else's Ranger for sale. HAPPY NEW YEAR. We bought two early rangers for projects, a drag truck and a V8 converted fun truck. We can only work on 1 truck at a time due to space. The most complete truck was repaired so that we can deal with just one truck at a time. This Burgundy red Ranger has a 2.3L Lima 4 cyl engine with 5 speed manual trans. Every system was gone through extensively to ensure reliability. We did the work with a family member in mind to buy the truck but they have chosen to find a CAR not a truck. So to the end of a family member being behind the wheel, all work was completed with excellence. That didnt make the truck perfect but since every electrical and mechanical system has been gone through, serviced, repaired, replaced..... well this truck presents a KNOWN CONDITION of reliability and not some..... "geez I wonder what will die first on this old car!". Chassis has 266,000 on it, odometer is 66,xxx and engine is around 100,000 miles (replacement). NO accidents, no SALT, no RUST (or nearly none), an idiot or two did own it in the past..... but we unwound the clock on that and corrected "stupid". Clean MS title in hand. Air Conditioning has been removed, the evap coil in the firewall is still there, the condenser is still in grille, but everything else is missing. Now the AC Harness is intact and the ECU still acts correct: WOT the AC cuts out and at IDLE the speed bumps when AC is on. The HARNESS IS INTACT. Just buy the NEW AC parts kit (dryer, compressor, lines, etc) and your set. I MAY have a compressor you can have as a CORE if you choose to replace the AC. Fuel system: fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, fuel tank filler neck/hose, fuel gauge slosh filter, gauge sending unit, pressure at idle 35-38 PSI per factory specs. Ignition system: New copper plugs (4 new in primary side, 4 cleaned on secondary, this is an 8 plug engine), ECU tested and cleaned, ICM (Ignition Control Module) replaced with new, primary coil replaced, secondary tested, ignition harness rebuilt/secured/sealed, plug wires, crank and cam sensors tested. Cooling system: Radiator, cap, and hoses, 12 months (past owner), water pump (with engine replacement), heater hoses (past owner)thermostat this month, 195 degree, drained, flushed, new coolant. Air system: air filter, vac lines, tested for vacuum leaks, intake system holds 19-20 inches of mercury at idle, new IAT sensor installed while accessible. Emissions: EGR valve tested, EGR solenoid/regulator replaced due to failure of regulator, exhaust system replaced with inexpensive, leak free glass pack, cat missing from a past owner. EVAP system tested, hoses replaced, PCV valve replaced. Engine: Compression tested on replacement engine (100000 mile old, chassis is 266k miles old), 180, 175, 175, 175 PSI with ZERO leak down. Engine is VERY tight and powerful. Oil and filter change (full synthetic), rear main seal replaced in conjucntion with new flywheel and clutch system. Transmission: Pulled, inspected, fluid replaced with synthetic, new Precision brand clutch disk, pressure plate, T/O bearing, slave and master with new FLYWHEEL (and rear main seal as above). Electrical: Every harness connector repaired, replaced, cleaned, inspected, insulated, supported, etc to ensure electrical stability. Plus those same connectors were causing ignition system issues and we killed two birds with one stone. Odd stuff: THE "O" IN THE FORD EMBLEM on the tailgate will be reattached before you buy. New bed bolts (from accessing fuel system and tank), dash air vents replaced as some had broken or cracked vanes, door panels removed for armrest bolster repairs, window regulators cleaned and lubed, seats replaced with '97 Explorer bucket seats (newer, no wear, cleaner than original), carpet pulled, pressure washed (due to soda spills past owner). Past owner rebuilt most of the suspension with Urethane and the car rides really nice. Fresh Cooper tires on OEM Aluminium Bullet wheels. Brakes inspected front and back, front have almost 3/8 inch pad left and rotors are uncut, smooth and clean! Stops like a new car. Washer pump motor replaced, squirts nice, no leaks, new wiper blades today, 01/01/22. Its not perfect by any stretch! My concerns are as follows: I didnt touch the rear diff so the diff needs or could use a fluid change. Its an OPEN DIFF so there is no clutch plates to service. Simple oil change. The CARPET was damaged by spills pretty bad. Degreased and pressure washed its still pretty rough (look close at the pics). Stereo was installed by a past owner, Blutooth head unit, but I pulled the crap speakers from the doors and brought the car to stock. Its HAS NO SPEAKERS but its ready for them (Like Ford built it). Tailgate lever needs some attention, works fine but stiff. The oil pan leaks (weeps) and will leave 4-5 drops by end of a week or two, but its hard to find this generation of Lima engine that doesnt have a leaking pan due to Fords gasket design. Its a drip and a TINY one!! This truck is a reliable commuter truck or work truck, a great "first car" truck for a young driver who wants an opportunity make some things there own (stereo, dash cover, carpet, etc). It has great economics, 4 cyl gas sipper at 25 mpg or better, and ALL the systems that WEAR have been dealt with. It will be a good long time before investments need to be made in repairs, if you take care of the car and maintain it."

Unfortunately, I can't "copy and paste" the Message button.
