That’s a TBD. I may need to find another solution for rotors or wheels. Trying to stay away from spacers if possible.
check out 98 Crown Vic front rotors.
12.5" x 1.18"(??) and correct bolt pattern.
the hat section is almost identical to 98+ Rangers

Edit: the width is 1.10"

The more I think about this the more I like it. It's easy to find a Heavy Duty Crown Vic rotor and they are cheaper than the COBRA rotor I already purchased.

Thanks. I came across him. I didn’t go that route because I enjoy the process of DIY, don’t want to spend that much money, and we view rotors as wear parts. It would be too expensive in the long run. Thanks though.

I ordered the crown Vic rotors today and want to make a wooden bracket this weekend.

I advise against using wooden brake parts. :icon_twisted:

I would just use teak or cedar.

We are mocking up the fast back tonight. We've sheared a T55 bit trying to get out the last bed bolt. Bought a new T55 bit, only to shear the 1/2 to 3/8 reducer. Time to fight it with fire.

Bird's eye maple would be pretty; Cedar's pretty soft.

The advantage of Cobra rotors, is you can use your stock calipers. You need a spacer 0.880: thick, the difference in hat heights, 2.600-1.720 for Ranger versus '94 Cobra, with holes .860 c 2 c apart 13 versus 11.28 difference in radius. You can't do that with Crown Vic rotors - being nearly the same hat height, the spacers would be 0.010" thick and c 2 c of only .570 and therefore need to be made of unobtainum.

They make T55 bits for 1/2" drive.

@pjtoledo you got me on the right path. Thank you

@don4331 I have the calipers in hand

My calipers call for a 11.75"-14.00" with a thickness range of 1.15"-1.35"

I really want to fit a 15" wheel on the truck. Here's a comparison of one I found and it's about 50% cheaper than the crown vic rotors I bought.

12" or 12.2" is about the biggest rotor you can put inside a 15" wheel.

AND THAT DEPENDS ON THE SHAPE OF THE WHEELS BACK SIDE!!!!
